I graduated from Rex Hospital School of Nsg in 1964, married Ronald Hendrix in Aug. 1964 and moved to Birmingham, Ala. where we worked at UAB Hospital, had two daughters and then moved to Charleston, SC in 1070. Ronald was Admin of St.Francis Hosp where we had two sons. Then we moved to Florence, SC in 1992 and we have been here ever since. I have had many different jobs, from nursing which I still enjoy, to being a craft shop owner, to being a tea party organizer! We have 5 grands who live in Charleston and Bishop, Ga. We both are looking forward to seeing everyone again and I can hardly believe it has been 55 years! God has truly blessed all of us who are left!

I am traveling from Seattle, WA for the reunion and look forward to seeing lots of friends and familiar faces.  Sure hope lots of army brats show up, as well! My husband Keith and I live in Shoreline, WA. My sons Jimmy and Jason Reavis are both in Seattle. Jimmy (our class mascot) is 55; Jason is 52.  Jimmy has two sons, one attending college in California and one a sophmore in high school. All are in constant contact with "Big Jimmy" who resides in Charlotte.   I made my living as an Urban Planner. Am attending the 70th Anniversary of the Department of City and Regional Planning at UNC the weekend before our 55th. Will work in a trip to Lexington to visit Sink cousins and eat BBQ in between! Keith still practices law and plays music.  He stays in touch with friends from UNC - we gather in NC, Florida, Seattle, and NYC.  Despite over three decades in the Pacific Northwest, ties to my Tarheel roots remain strong. See you all in April.

Hi there to all of you Bulldogs! Sorry that, as things look now, I won't be attending the 55th class reunion. But I wish all of you a grand time renewing old friendships and acquaintances. I would love to hear from any of you who care to contact me. Back in the day my life was totally engrossed in playing my dilapidated old cornet in  the FHS band and in the Blue Notes. Oh, how I loved (and still do) the danceband music we played for dances, pep rallies and soforth.  All those memories of the band trips to Myrtle Beach, out-of-town football games and band competitions throughout much of NC are still very dear to me. Have a blast at the reunion and let's reconnect sometime! (The great old tunes on this Web page are terrific! Thanks to Ben Sutton and all the reunion committee. Great job!)

As an Army brat, I only spent my senior year at FHS, but I have many fond memories of my time there. After graduation from UNC '64, I worked in San Antonio and Honoulu (where I met my husband, Jack, a Navy pilot).  We moved to San Francisco and then New York City. We now live outside Chicago.  We have two daughters--one a pilot for UAL and one a UNC'97 graduate--and 5 grandchildren (ages 7-10).  Both my husband and I are looking forward to the 55 Reunion!!

I have had a rough couple of years with health problems myself, my 43 year old youngest son's  death, and  now my husband's current illness - colorectal cancer with chemo, radiation, and surgery.   He is to have more surgery this month (Feb.) and eventually and hopefully a final surgery to put his intestines back together again.  I, myself, have been in the hospital twice ( 5 days each) since September 2015.  I am doimg better, so I can now look after my husband Danny.  Needless to say, I  am not sure if I can be at the reunion until we see how well my husband does on his journey to wellness.  I would love to see  all my old classmates from the Class of '61.  Reading much of the site tonight was nestalgic.  I sit and smile at the computer screen as I read about many of you that I remember.  May God bless each of you; I hope to be able to see you soon.  Love, Judy    P.S.  I  have 4 grandchldren and 1 great granddaughter,  1 daughter, and two sons (both deceased).

I happened upon the FHS website by accident as I was looking for information on Mike Rachlin, who was in my 1960 graduating class.  I was one of those Army Brats who attended FHS.  I see that many of the "townies" are still in Fayetteville.  After graduation I left for the University of Florida, from where I obtained a degree in art in 1963.  I never got any information re. reunions over the past 55 years, but am happy that I stumbled onto this page.  I have been married to my wonderful husband for 52 years and we have 2 children and one grandchild.  We lived in Orlando for 45 years where my husband founded a law firm that is now one of the largest in the state of Florida.   We have retired to Gainesville, FL where we enjoy living close to the home of the Gators!

Wow!  Can't be this many years!  We are so blessed to have lived through some to fhe best years since the world began.  I married John Brownlow while in grad school at UNC , moved to Charlotte from Chapel Hill and been here ever since. We have three wonderful sons , two wonderful daughter-in-laws and five grandchildren - the most adorable who ever walked the earth - all of whom live right here in Charlotte. I worked for many years as the behavioral health consultant for the school health program and continue to work part time as a private practioner. John and I are so grateful for good health which allows us to do work we enjoy, travel when we can, make wonderful memories with our family , be involved in our church and with community  issues -and -play golf ! The greatest gifts from Fayetteville High School are the friendships that have  grown more precious with each passing year.  I am excited that we are having a reunion and so looking forward to seeing all of you.  As is said " The older we get, the better we were" -  Would love to hear from all of you  - and can't wait to see you in April!

This will be the first time that I will be able to attend one of our reunions. I rec.eived my B.A. from High Point University in 1964 and my M. Div. from Duke Divinity School in 1967.  I was married to Cathy Poindexter that same year and we were happily married for 34 years until her untimely death in 2001.  We raised to fine sons, Howard, who teaches Special Ed. in Virginia Beach, and Rob, who is a software engineer in Melborne Florida.  Even better I am the grandfather of 3 boys and 1 girl. I spent 43 years as a minister serving in the North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church, retiring in 2010. I served 2 additional years filling on an interim basis at local churches.  Currently, I am the volunteer chaplain of the Mount Olive, NC, Police Department.  When the local funeral home (Tyndall) is short-handed, they call me to help out.
I'm looking forward to being able to attend my first reunion since graduating in 1961.  The 55th makes us sound ancient, doesn't it.  I know the answer, but I can always think wistfully.
